Within the next month I will be merging TheNewElder.com with our sister site, ElderAuthority.com. You will be able to access all the old content of TheNewElder plus the new content of ElderAuthority.
I am posting an article each and everyday on ElderAuthority.com. In time there will be a mass of valid information that can be accessed from any place in the world–free. I hope it will be the place people go for help when they are suddenly thrust into caregiving or face a crisis of aging.
I have learned that adults do not have time to learn about caregiving before a crisis hits. They only learn what they need to know when they absolutely must. They are too busy to do otherwise.
There simply will not be enough public or private resources to handle all the needs of the aging as masses of Baby Boomers get older and older. The information should be in one place when they do need it…and I expect most of us will need it.
I keep preaching that we have to find ways to help ourselves and each other. This is my contribution.
For this week’s article I am attaching the link to one of my posts on ElderAuthority.com. It is about remembering to give real gifts to caregivers at holiday time. Even better, do it all year round.
